She’s learned a lot working for him and she’s values every experience, but when they are at a corporate holiday event and his ex-girlfriend is there with her new boyfriend, Olivia decides to help by pretending to be his new girlfriend. Her boss is a bit difficult and exacting, but she’s never let it bother her. Olivia Langley is a social media intern at a large public relations firm and she loves her job and is thrilled to be in charge of the firm’s holiday events planning. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, I just wasn’t expecting it. I went into Faking Under the Mistletoe thinking it would be a fun and cute holiday story and it was that for about half of the book, but it was also serious and emotional.

This was a very good story, but we don’t want anyone to be surprised by the turn of events in this book. As we know that is a trigger for some readers, we are letting you know up front. While not a typical, feel good Christmas romance Faking Under the Mistletoe was an engaging and emotional story. She’s pretty sure that she sleighed this whole fake relationship thing. In an effort to ungrinch the grinchiest man she’s ever met, Olivia enlists herself, Santa’s Executive Helper, to scheme up a plan that includes sleigh rides, snow days, and one too many mistletoe kisses, which certainly gets Asher’s tinsel in a tangle. Kissing her boss at a Christmas tree lighting in front of his ex-girlfriend? Well… it is the season of giving.Īnd Olivia does not come with a gift receipt. Christmas-themed bar crawl? That’s one big jingle bell hell yes. So it’s no surprise when she’s put in charge of Loveridge & McGowan’s holiday festivities. Christmas movies? Yeah, she’s seen them all. Christmas cookies?
